School Prayer

In the wake of the violent school shootings and in particular the most recent at Virginia Tech, we as Christians believe that removing God from our Country and in particular from our schools just might be a problem.

This is an anonymous poem decrying the eviction of God from our classrooms

Now I sit me down in school

Where praying is against the rule

For this great nation under God

Finds mention of Him very odd.



If Scripture now the class recites,

It violates the Bill of Rights.

And anytime my head I bow

Becomes a Federal matter now.



Our hair can be purple, orange or green,

That's no offense; it's a freedom scene.

The law is specific, the law is precise.

Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice.



For praying in a public hall

Might offend someone with no faith at all.

In silence alone we must meditate,

God's name is prohibited by the state.




We're allowed to cuss and dress like freaks,

And pierce our noses, tongues and cheeks.

They've outlawed guns, but FIRST the Bible.

To quote the Good Book makes me liable.



We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen,

And the 'unwed daddy,' our Senior King.

It's "inappropriate" to teach right from wrong,

We're taught that such "judgments" do not belong.



We can get our condoms and birth controls,

Study witchcraft, vampires and totem poles.

But the Ten Commandments are not allowed,

No word of God must reach this crowd.



It's scary here I must confess,

When chaos reigns the school's a mess.

So, Lord, this silent plea I make:

Should I be shot; My soul please take!

Madalyn Murray O’Hair, the infamous atheist who was instrumental in having God kicked out of our public schools and who was eventually murderd, dismembered , and buried by one of her atheist office workers for her stash of gold had this to say:

"There is no God. There's no heaven. There's no hell. There are no angels. When you die, you go in the ground, the worms eat you." 

How would you like to have her for your mother?

Well unfortunately for them, two boys did.

One of her sons, Jon Garth Murray, was murdered along with her.

The other son, Bill Murray, came to know Christ years before and is now instrumental in spreading the Good News of Christ worldwide.

All things come alike to all: there is one event to the righteous, and to the wicked; to the good and to the clean; and to the unclean; to him that sacrificeth, and to him that sacrificeth not; as is the good, so is the sinner, and he that sweareth, as he that feareth an oath.

This is an evil among all things that are done under the sun, that there is one event unto all: yea, also the heart of the sons of men is full of evil, and madness is in their heart while they live, and after that they go to the dead.

For to him that is joined to all the living there is hope; for a living dog is better than a dead lion.

For the living know that they shall die; but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward, for the memory of them is forgotten.
